Guide is a series of monthly seminars which provide helpful information to caregivers of adults with mental illness, but any interested person may attend.

The seminars are held 5:30-7 p.m. in the Rhonda and Guenther Gosch Training Room at the NAMI office on the first Wednesday of each month from October through March.

Topics for the 2013-14 season include:

  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Medications
  • Collier County Mental Health Services
  • Dual Diagnosis: Mental Illness/Substance Abuse
  • Advocacy for Adults with Mental Illness
  • Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective Disorder

Each month, a qualified speaker presents information on his/her area of specialization with the aid of a PowerPoint presentation and, generally, handouts. Time is allowed for a Question and Answer period at the end of the presentation. Reservations are required as space is limited.
