You are invited to submit your nomination to receive our prestigious 2018 NAMI Collier County Awards, presented annually in three categories: Mental Health Advocate of the Year, CIT Officer of the Year and Mental Health Advocate Lifetime Achievement. The awards will be presented at our 12th Annual Hope Shines Luncheon to be held December 7, 2018. Honorees will be invited to bring a guest of their choice to the event.

All entries will be reviewed and final selections made by the members of our Board of Directors and Luncheon Committee. You may be contacted to provide additional information. Categories include:

Mental Health Advocate of the Year: This individual demonstrates the greatest contribution in support of NAMI’s mission, to improve the quality of life for the one in five individuals that face the day-to-day reality of living with a mental health condition.

CIT Officer of the Year: NAMI Collier County in partnership with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Naples Police Department, Marco Police Department will recognize a CIT Officer of the Year. The award will be presented to a first responder that has assisted a person in need, de-escalating a potentially dangerous situation and helping that individual get the help they need.

Mental Health Lifetime Achievement Award: The Mental Health Lifetime Achievement Award is for an individual who has made significant contributions as a lifetime advocate and supporter to help those living with the effects of mental health illnesses.
