Liz Stikeman became a full-time resident of Bonita Springs in 2017, moving from New Hampshire where she lived for 15 years in the Lakes Region. She was Chair of the Board of NAMI New Hampshire from 2006-09, on the Board of LRGHealthcare 2012-2017 and the Lakes Region Community Mental Health Center (formerly Genesis) from 2010-2017. During her time as a State Representative in NH 2009-2010 (Liz Merry), she established a Mental Health Caucus, a bi-partisan group of representatives focused on modifying the legislation and regulatory rules to improve the lives of families and individuals living with mental health challenges. She was on the Advisory Board of the Endowment for Health, and held leadership roles in many other non-profit organizations.
Prior to that time, Liz Stikeman was an executive of a large multinational telecommunications company. Earlier in her career, she established and ran several small businesses, the last being focused on international development with an emphasis on gender equality, environmental protection and small business finance.
Liz is a graduate of McGill University (BA, MLS) in Montreal, Quebec and has participated in leadership training and numerous educational programs to further her knowledge of organizational effectiveness through the understanding of human dynamics.
