Daniel Simmons is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience in the field of addiction. He is from New York where he worked most of his career providing therapy and interventions for families, couples and children struggling with chemical dependency. Currently he leads the Florida Hazelden Betty Ford Family Program for 33 years which reaches out to the families and friends of those who are struggling with addiction.
He will be talking about the definition of Family Disease, the distinction between Disease of Addiction and Family Disease, and the need for recovery for family members.
